Frequently Asked Questions
There seem to be a lot of redesigners / stagers to choose from. How do I know which one is right for me?
When selecting any service provider, it’s best to interview a few. Please review a list of Key Questions to ask (answers for Star
Interior Solutions are listed as well).
What do your clients say about Star Interior Solutions?
Please review a sample of our satisfied client’s Testimonials.
What is the difference between interior redesign and real estate staging?
Both involve transformation of space by rearranging your existing furniture, artwork, accessories, etc. However, redesign is for
homeowners and staging is for homesellers. While we work with more of the homeowners items during a redesign, we typically remove
more items during a staging (so potential buyers can envision themselves living there).
How long does the average redesign / staging take?
On average, 3-5 hours. The amount of time spent during the redesign / staging depends on a number of factors including: size of
the house, the number of rooms to update, and the amount of furnishings.
Do I need to be home during the redesign / staging?
We require that the homeowner is not home during the redesign / staging for the following reasons:
- to heighten the excitement and anticipation of the “reveal”
- we can completely focus and concentrate on the redesign / staging
- the process may be emotional to watch
- to minimize cost with efficient utilization of our time
I’m interested in a redesign / staging, what do I do next?
- Contact us.
- Discuss the redesign / staging in greater detail and find out as much information about the spaces as possible.
- Schedule a preview of the property. A preview is done at no cost and generally takes 15 minutes. This is done to assess the property, complete a proposal/bid, determine if additional assistants are required, and determine whether anything needs to be completed prior to the redesign / staging.
- Schedule the redesign / staging project.
Do you stage vacant properties?
Yes. The larger items (sofa, loveseat, dining room sets, bedroom sets, etc.) are rented from a local furniture rental store. Star
Interior Solutions has an inventory of accessories to complete the project that are also available for rental.
What are “high impact” rooms?
These are rooms that are first seen when entering a home, or the most used rooms in a home, and the master bedroom. At minimum,
these rooms should be staged when selling your home.
When do I pay and what type of payment do you accept?
Payment is required at the time of service. We accept check, MasterCard and Visa.
Do you charge for mileage to/from projects?
There is no charge for mileage for projects located in the South Metro Denver area, or within a 30 mile radius of Highlands Ranch, CO.
What is the IRIS designation after your name?

a member, I received professional training and certification in interior redesign and real estate staging. This membership allows me to
participate in continuing education through annual conferences. I’ve been a Featured Member, and am currently the President of the local IRIS Denver/Mountain Chapter and am currently the Website Committee Chairperson.
